What the Course Covers
Session 1: Brain, Mind & Body
Donna shares scientific discoveries on the nature of your brain (it was designed to thrive well into old age) and how the brain differs from your mind. Gain understanding about the physical structure of negative and positive thoughts, the chemicals that are released into the bloodstream in response to thoughts, and their impact on your physiology and wellbeing.
Session 2: Beliefs
Beliefs are like dusty, old boxes in the basement of your house - and they influence what you think and what you do. We'll do an archeological dig to help you identify self-defeating beliefs and where they originated. Then, we'll 'turn the table' on those beliefs and help you form positive, life-affirming beliefs that change everything. Positive self-development.
Session 3: Mindfulness - Being In the Now
People are increasingly 'out of their minds', not present, leading to an increase in fear, anxiety, and depression - not to mention accidents. I recently observed a woman walking down a stairway with her face in her phone. Learn easy mindfulness techniques that build confidence and self-awareness, improve your workday, enhance conversations, and help you cope with challenging situations.
Session 4: Meditation, Intentional Solitude
Meditation is a specific practice that combines breathing techniques, prayer, visualization, and thought awareness. Beginning your day meditatively sets the tone, and ending your day with a Meditation Review clears mental stress, reduces the stress response, and aids in processing of difficult challenges. Gain clarity, focus, and the presence of peacefulness and calm. Improve your overall health and wellness.
Live Weekly Presentations - 45 minutes
Each session begins with calming breathing techniques to enhance focus and attention followed by a presentation and experiential mindfulness practices.
